February 1st, 1942. Just two months after the attack on Pearl Harbor the US auto industry had ceased all production of civilian cars and trucks. By December of that year the entire automotive industry had retooled and reorganized for maximum output to supply the war effort. They worked around the clock shifts and continued in that mode until 1945. I am hard pressed to think of a better example of the American Spirit and this nation's drive to succeed! Just as there is no finer military in the world than our own, there is also no better workforce!
